Zilken sources semi-finished plastic products for industrial applications, drawing on its own experience and a well-established network of suppliers. These range from sheets, cut-to-size pieces, and round stock to electrically insulating rigid fabric laminates and custom-made parts produced to specifications.

From PTFE (Teflon®) to rigid and flexible PVC, polyethylene, acrylic glass, and polyamide: We work with the full range of common engineering plastics and understand their properties in practical applications. When needed, we source engineering and high-performance plastics such as POM, PVDF, or PEEK through our supplier network.
Sheets, plates, round bars, films, profiles, and hollow sections are available in a wide range of dimensions and thicknesses. Items that do not fit your needs as standard sizes can be obtained as custom-cut pieces or as turned and milled parts made to your drawings.
Electrically insulating rigid fabric and rigid paper laminates in accordance with DIN EN 60893 are a staple of our product line—available as sheets, rods, and insulating sleeves. This is an area where technical advice and the right choice of materials make all the difference.
Chemically and thermally resistant materials for demanding environments. PTFE, for example, can withstand temperatures ranging from well below zero to over +260 °C. We will work with you to determine the right version for your specific application.
An overview of materials, designs, properties, dimensions, and standards that Zilken sources and supplies in the field of engineering plastics. If it’s not listed here, we’ll source it.
Through our supplier network, we also source engineering and high-performance plastics such as POM, PE-UHMW (PE 1000), PVDF, PEEK, PET/PETP, PVC-U/PVC-C, PC, and ABS—for example, for chemically resistant, low-friction and wear-resistant, food-grade, antistatic, or high-temperature-resistant applications (PEEK up to approximately 260 °C continuous operating temperature). The same applies to special shapes such as solid rods, angle and U-profiles, flat stock, perforated plates, and custom-made parts manufactured to drawings (CNC). If your requirement is not listed on this page, please contact us.
Customers who purchase semi-finished plastic products based on a bill of materials can also receive them as pre-assembled sets. We put together pre-picked, labeled, and ready-to-assemble kits and component sets. This reduces the effort required for sorting during production, keeps inventory levels low, and demonstrates how kitting and sets effectively combine procurement and assembly.
Plastic semi-finished products, gaskets, molded parts, and C-parts can be purchased in a single order from a single point of contact with a single delivery. As a system partner, we handle supplier selection, certificate management, and incoming goods inspection.
Yes, we can source sheets, films, and rods cut to exact dimensions according to your specifications, as well as turned and milled parts based on your drawings. If a standard size doesn’t work for you, we’ll coordinate with you and source the appropriate version through our network of suppliers.
The company specializes in polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE, also known as Teflon®), rigid and flexible PVC, polyethylene, acrylic glass/PMMA (Plexiglas®), and polyamide. We source engineering and high-performance plastics such as polyoxymethylene (POM), ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (PE-UHMW), polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), or polyetheretherketone (PEEK) specifically according to your requirements through our network.
Yes, semi-finished insulating products made of rigid fabric (epoxy-glass fabric, e.g., Type EP GC 203, also known as HGW) and rigid paper (phenolic cellulose, e.g., Type PF CP 203, also known as HP) in accordance with DIN EN 60893 are an integral part of our product range—available as sheets, rods, and insulating sleeves.
In the form of sheets, plates, films, round rods, profiles, and hollow sections in a wide range of dimensions and thicknesses (approximately 0.5 to 100 mm). In addition, dimensionally accurate cut-to-size pieces as well as turned and milled parts made to drawing are available. PTFE, for example, is available in both virgin (unfilled) form and glass-fiber-reinforced form (e.g., 25% glass content) for higher compressive strength and wear resistance.
Yes, acrylic glass/PMMA (Plexiglas®) is available in transparent or crystal-clear sheets and cut-to-size pieces. We can source other transparent materials, such as polycarbonate (PC), through our network upon request.
Where required, we provide material certification and factory certificates in accordance with EN 10204. The factory declaration (2.1) and the factory certificate (2.2) are standard. We will coordinate the appropriate form of certification with you in advance. More detailed batch-specific acceptance test certificates are more common for metal parts manufactured to drawings (see Custom & Machined Parts). We organize the required documentation through our supplier network.

Fasteners for every application: screws, nuts, rivets, and bolts—DIN-compliant parts and custom-made products, from small quantities to large-scale production runs.

Seals and Gaskets for maximum plant availability: O-rings, flat gaskets, and mechanical seals prevent leaks — standardized or custom-manufactured to drawing.

Elastomer Components for flexible applications: Molded rubber parts, dampers, and profiles offer reliable solutions, ranging from small-batch production to individual custom fabrications.
